Review Love:Liquid liner!

Now liquid liner scares the living day lights out of me! Who really knows that's going to happen when you put it on and if it wants to actually work and look right! I do have a thing for cat flicks and the one liquid eyeliner that I've always wanted to try is the Collection Fast stroke eyeliner.

I see a lot of people using it, including my best friend and she always looks amazing with it one! The application of it scares me though as it kind of looks like a pen or something fancy that isn't like a felt tip which is what I normally use! I was browsing around Superdrug the other day, was feeling adventurous so decided to buy and try!

I will admit the first time I used it I was thinking 'ooo fudge' because it didn't exactly go to plan and one cat flick was much different from the other but after a little getting used to and persevering I'm now In love! I feel like I write that I pretty much all of my blog posts but this one is a fact! I love the blackness of this eyeliner compared to others I have used and when finished it doesn't budge of my eyes and still looks pretty flawless at the end of the day (Well you know as flawless as its going to get).

I will be hooked on this one for a long time now and they also do a brown one which I may have to go try out as well which I'm feeling a look that's a little softer!
Hope you enjoyed

The one lovely blog award!

Hey guys! So I'm very exited to be writing this little post because I've been recently nominated for the 'One Lovely Blog Award' which I'm still in very much shock over. I admit I did have to re-read the comment Lauren from LittleLo16 left saying she had nominated me a few times (also got my mum to double check it as well haha). I'm hooked on reading Laurens blog so was very exited to see the nomination was from her as well and well thank you very much!

So anyways here are the rules:
1. You must thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
2. You must list the rules and display the award.
3. You must add 7 facts about yourself(I will have to have a hard think about that one)
4.You must nominate 15 other bloggers and comment on one of their posts to let them know they have been nominated.
5.You must display the award logo and follow the blogger who nominated you.

So the 'interesting' facts about me:
1.I have lived in a few different places around the world like Germany and Cyprus and travelled a lot but cant seem to speak any other languages.

2. I have two little dogs(Maddie&Alfie) and at the end of next month there will be a new puppy in the household called lily(I think) which I'm sure you'll see on my blog soon enough (I'm very exited!)

3. When I was growing up for a good year or so I wanted to be a magician although I never had done magic before or ever planned on try to I still managed to want to be a magician for a long time!

4. I am now currently studying health and social care at college from wanting to be a children's nurse to a teacher and now I want to go to university and study fashion communication? how different can you get on the career front! haha

5.I have a little tiny obsession with tea... The amount I drink is a little crazy and if you went into my cupboard in the kitchen to where all of the tea is kept its shocking all the different kinds and flavours I have! (I am currently drinking one right now)

6. Fashion I've always been into but I only started to really wear make up last summer so a lot of people are rather shocked at my love for it now and that I am writing about it on my blog!

7. Autumn/winter is my favourite time of year! I love the rain, the cold, the clothes, the make up, staying all lovely in bed, reading books drinking tea by the fire and just everything that comes with autumn and winter (CHRISTMAS) I just love!!

So some of my nominations are (This was kind of tricky actually)-

Half way to New York
A Fashion tale
Tea with Sophie
Melody Munn
Dreaming in beauty
Bcosmetics
Kimberly Loveless

Hope you enjoyed this little post (Learning some very random facts about me)

Lost without reading

So this time a couple of years ago I was the biggest book worm going but as the years have passed reading has become less and less on my list of priorities. Over the summer when I had a little extra time on my hands without the work load of college I got a lot of time to read and now I'm back at college I seem to have fallen into the routine again of not.. Why? I have no idea but I seem to be frustrating myself by not!

I was never a book person growing up, well not reading myself, it was always my mum reading me stories and I used to struggle a lot in school with my English skills but then when I found my love for books everything changed and all I wanted to do was get lost in a book that made me forget everything around me.
I've made it my mission at the moment to read more and here are some of my ways I'm going to do this:

A oldie but goodie: I think reading your old favourite books is great! yes reading books you've never read before is great as well but when you don't always have the time to read then swapping in and out of a book is hard and sometimes I can get a little lost, so re-reading all my old favourites (The great Gatsby, Peter pan, the fault in our stars and ANY Jodi picoult) is the best way. I know I love the book already and it means you can pick up from where you left off easily!

Before bed: Finding the actual time to read is my problem as I seem to just do course work all the time and if not I'm being distracted by my addicted to the blogging world and watching youtube videos! So I've now resulted in reading before I go to bed very night. I know that is something A lot of people do but once my laptop is off then it seems to only take me a couple of seconds to fall asleep but I've made it my mission to read just before I turn the lights out (even If that is only for ten minutes or I only manage to read a page).

Taking my read with me: Now I travel into my nearest city often by train and don't get my wrong the Journey may only be 20 minutes but them 20 minutes are perfect time to get out a good book so I don't know why I've never done it before. Sometimes its not possible as the trains get so busy and getting a seat is impossible but If I know the train Isn't getting to be so busy or I know I'll be able to get a seat then I've been taking a book with me for the Journey.

I'm hoping I actually stick to this and college doesn't get in the way to much but as long as my glasses are beside me, a good book is on hand and perhaps a nice cup of tea in my favourite mug then It wont be long before I'm lost in a book again.

DIY: unloved skinny Jeans

So lately I have had a little love affair with ripped skinny jeans, I love the look and style of them and the added edge they give to my outfits. As I was going through some draws the other day I found a very un-loved pair of black skinny jeans. I don't know why I don't really wear them anymore but I thought I would rip them my self and show you guys!
So all I used was a pair of scissors, a pencil, a pair of tweezers and of course the jeans I was ripping. These black skinny's I've had for a while now and they've faded in colour which I actually really like!
I put the jeans on to make sure I got the holes and rips that I wanted in the right place and just pencilled a little line and put a small hole at the lines on both knees.
I then took them off and cut all the way along from where I had put the small hole on the knees which ended them looking a little like this...
And then I just ripped them with my hands making them a little more messy and distressed. I then also went in with a pair of tweezes and just pulled on the material to again make them more ripped and distressed.
After that, once I was happy with the rips on the knees, I just went back again and did the same thing but with smaller rips in different places on the jeans which resulted them looking like this...
I'm actually really happy with the way they turned out although I may add a few more distressed bits and rips on them! These will no longer be my unloved jeans though and it didn't cost me a penny, Wooo!

Outfit: Spots!

Spotty Dress; Bowler Hat; Topshop Boots;Warehouse Denim Jacket

So I saw this little swing dress a couple of weeks ago in Topshop and I really liked! I don't have anything in my wardrobe that's spotty but I wasn't fully sure about this dress because of it being a swing style as I don't normally like them styles on myself as there not as flattering as a skater dress.

This swing dress though is kind of perfect! It has the affect of a swing dress on the bottom half but has a band around the waist that just goes in at the right place to make it that little bit more flattering! The material is great.. easy to wear but still a little more dressy!

I decided to pair it with my little black bowler hat which is one of my favourite accessories to wear and my warehouse denim jacket which I pretty much wear all of the time! I added a little pop of colour with the glitter blue socks and then my black lace up boots with the side cut-outs from Topshop!
I wore this to a university open day the other week and it was great as the dress was smart but the denim jacket gave it a more casual look and feel!

Living in the country

So I was thinking what could I do today for a little blog post that was a little different (not fashion or beauty related) and I was walking my two little dogs today and I took a few photos and of course it was raining. Now when wearing wellies and there being puddles around I of course decided to go splashing through them like a little kid again (don't worry no one was around).

When I'm not feeling great for whatever reason living in the country is literally amazing because I can just go for a walk with the dogs, put my headphones in and clear my head.  I only moved into the country side at the beginning of the year but I suppose to many of you I still technically lived in the country before then since it was a ten minute walk to a field where no one would be around.
I do suffer from anxiety, don't get my wrong I'm not as bad as I used to be and I am kind of good at hiding it (which I know isn't really a good thing) but I do think living in the country has definitely helped me to just allow my self to breath a little at the end of each day.

I've had the odd person say to me from college or something 'how do you live in the country side? not being in the town near all the shops and your friends?' but I hated living in the city and it naturally makes me feel more anxious even though I don't really have anything to be afraid of. I know a lot of people that suffer from anxiety have there own little things and places that make them feel a little calmer, I think apart from the seaside the country is the place for me! Them train journeys home at the end of a long day are my kind of heaven!

I'm rambling now but I'll probably have something a little more exiting to talk or share about tomorrow,

My make up bag!

Thought I'd give a little insider into my make up bag! I used to switch up my make up on a daily basis but lately I've got into a routine of the make up I like and the products I love so here's a little run down..

Chanel Perfection Lumiere velvet(22 Beige rose): I admit this foundation is expensive but It is honestly the best foundation I've ever used! I have oily/combinational skin and this just adds a slight matte look to my skin but also gives a lovely natural glow? I don't even know how that's possible but hey I love it!

Benefit Porefessional Primer: So this little guy is just a sample but I've been using it everyday and it has lasted really well! it does what the name says, just minimises my pores!

Rimmel London stay matte powder(Transparent): A translucent/transparent powder in my make up bag is a must just to keep that shine away for the day and making sure my make up actually stays on my face!

Soap and glory solar powder: I never been a big bronzer kind of person but lately I've just be using the littler side of this bronzer and sweeping it all over my face just to add a little bit of warmth to my completion and stopping me looking like a ghost.

Maybelline Eye eraser(light): This concealer is great to just hide that I maybe haven't had as much sleep as I should have(Or would have liked) the night before under the eyes.

Benefit boi-ing concealers: I prefer a concealer that is more of a cream product rather then a liquid one. I think they just stay on for longer and this one by benefit is great!

Benefit Gimme brow(light): I'm pretty lazy when it comes to my brows so the benefit gimme brow is just a must! Its so easy adding colour and keeping them in place all day and literally takes a couple of seconds!

Maybelline the rocket volume mascara & L'Oreal miss manga: I've been using both of these mascaras lately and I really like the combination! they leave my lashes with loads of volume and length which is just a win win in my eyes.

Soap and glory Supercat eyeliner: So like the name suggests this eyeliner is just the best for doing cat flicks which at the moment is just my standard look and I love it! The pen/felt liner is just so easy to use and if I can master it then anyone can using this!

Bobbi brown gel eyeliner in sepia ink: The Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners are great and If I've not feeling the cat flicks then I normally wear this one which is a really dark chocolate brown and It just adds a nice bit of definition to the eye!

Urban decay Naked basics: I have to admit I've not a big Eyeshadow person anymore but If I ever do wear them unless its something with a bit of simmer then I do wear the naked basics! The matte shades are just the best and you can create some really nice soft looks with it.

Lush popcorn lip scrub: For what it is the lush lip scrubs are expensive but there pretty great and leave my lips feeling brand new. I've been wearing a lot of matte lipsticks recently so this has been great to use before hand.

Nivea lip butter blueberry blush: The Nivea lip butters are great for being so moistening and just feeling amazing! This one smells exactly like blueberry muffins.. makes me want to eat it, I wont lie haha.

Kiko glow touch lip&cheek intuition peach and Benefit Majorette blush: I've also been switching between these to blushers at the moment. There both great flushes of colour adding a little warmth to my cheeks and also a little glow!

Last but not least Mac lipstick in peach blossom: This lipstick is my all time favourite lipstick its just the perfect pink nude(your lips but better kind of colour). It never fails to look good so its forever in my make up bag!

Hope you enjoyed a inside into my make up bag
