Outfit: Winter Ready

Ten days since I wrote my last post, wow! Again like always college, university application, work and then also having a life has got the better of me so I have neglect my blog a little! At the moment I shall be(hopefully) writing a couple of posts a week and managing my time a lot better.

So recently It has got VERY cold in England. I'm a naturally cold person anyways and its only going to get colder. Finding a winter jacket that's going to keep me all cosy, with a hood for when it rains and one that I actually like is always a difficult one. I don't think I've very hard a real winter jacket so I was making it my mission this year to find one that I loved and that I can wear with pretty much everything!

(Photos aren't the best..) Jacket: Miss Selfridge Dress: Topshop(old) Shoes: Topshop (sale)

Now I do feel like a little lion with this Parka (but I mean come on who doesn't want to be a lion?). This jacket is from Miss Selfridge, I decided I wanted a khaki green coat which I know is pretty common but in my wardrobe is very different but still goes with everything!

Inside has a lush wool lining to keep me nice a warm and of course the faux fur on the hood is just amazing! I'm not normally a huge fan of faux fur but I've seen it everywhere at the moment and I kind of like it.

Anyways rambling as normal! Have you found your winter jacket?

Outfit: Cute and Girly!

The other day I was feeling something a little more 'girly' then other things I have been wearing recently. I pulled out this ASOS dress with blue deers/fawns on which I wore a lot through the summer, I haven't gave it as much love lately so I was exited to wear it again the other day.

The dress is a lovely smock dress! very big and comfy, it is a very thick material and even though it is so big it fits really nicely and is very flattering! I kept things simple as always with just black tights, black boots and a black leather jacket!

Hope you enjoyed

Outfit: Old favorites!

So when the seasons change, bring out old favourites from the years before is great! I'm a student so getting the use out of everything I buy is very important. I bought this little skirt last year from Topshop.

I remember buying it as I absolutely loved it but didn't really think I would get much wear out of it, turns out I pretty much wore it all last winter so I was very exited when I was able to wear it again the other day because it was so cold outside! It is a woollen mini skirt which again isn't something I would normally pick out but I love the purples in it and the tartan pattern.

I decided just to play it safe with what to wear with it so I just wore a Topshop black scalloped top and black Primark boots. This skirt can be dressed up or down though and I will be wearing it a lot again this year!

Hope you enjoyed

Outfit: Feeling like a grown up

This little outfit is a typical monochrome look for me which I just love! I like this outfit, feels very sophisticated and grown up hahah

This little dress is from Urban Outfitters from a little while ago that I managed to grab in the sale! I love it with the gingham print and of course the collar, I do love a good collar, but the only problem with this dress is that it is sleeve less so wearing it right now is a little tricky as its got very cold out.

I just placed this long sleeved black crop top over it just to keep myself a little more cosy and warm, I really like the look of it and thing it just looks part of the dress. Lastly I just placed my black primark boots on just keeping it simple and of course black tights.

Hope you enjoyed

Review: Maybelline Colour Elixir's

Hey guys! Today I thought I'd do a mini review on the 'new' Maybelline colour elixir's. Now I say 'new' like that because there pretty new to the UK but even then they must have been out for a month or so now, I cant really remember. I've been testing and wearing these two shades, 105 Petal blush and 705 Blush essence, ever since I got them and I have to say I'm in love!

(105 Petal blush then 705 blush essence)
(105 Petal blush on lips)
(705 Blush essence on lips)

I picked the pinker colours of the bunch as I wear these the most and I think they suit my skin colour the most. These Colour elixir's are amazing though, very pigmented and glossy but are also like balms and feel very moisturising on the lips.

105 Is a really nice light nude-ish pink. It has a slight simmer in it but you cant feel it on the lips. This one just adds a nice glossy to the lips with a little pigmentation, that just gives that 'your lips but better' kind of colour. I find It to look much better when blended and patted into the lips.

705 Blush essence is a really pretty pink. It reminds me a lot of Tanya Burrs lipgloss in Aurora apart from Tanyas has simmer running through it but the Maybelline has none. The pigmentation of this one is great and looks nice put on normally or blended a little.

They are a really nice glosses and are great for autumn and winter as they are very balm like and both colours are great for day to day wear.

Outfit: Metallic wonder

Cute and comfy outfits just seen to be my go to look at the moment and this one is no exception! This oversize big tee from Topshop is great for being oversized and comfy for the days when I cant really be bothered but also has something a little more about it with the metallic look!

I paired a dark blue part of Joni Jeans with the top that have rips in the knees for added edge and of course them white cut out booties that I cant seen to take of my feet at the moment, there just so comfy and cute! (Am I repeating myself to much? haha)

Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this little post and outfit

Nail varnish to match the weather!

So I wanted to show you guys the nail varnish that's been stuck to my nails for a while now and that fits the weather at the moment!
excuse how badly painted my nails are in this photo, I was in a rush, but this Topshop nail varnish is lush and the name fits like a dream. Rainy day! The weather in England is awful at the moment! It just rains 24/7 so this nail varnish is great to fit in with this.
I love the colour its like a dark grey with a tint of purple and I love a good purple-ish nail varnish but this one just has that nice winter twist.

Hope you enjoyed

Makeup: Halloween madness!

Thought I'd do a little post today on my Halloween make up look! I don't really know where I was going with it.. I was originally going to do a vampire sort of look but keep of came out like I just came out of the ground.. hahah
Vampire.. dead person.. I don't really know what I'm meant to be exactly but I kind of like it hahah! I think I'm one of the only people that isn't the biggest fan of Halloween, I'm a bit of a wimp and hate people dressed up and hate dressing up myself so I normally just do some kind of Halloween inspired make up and just wear a little black dress! A little boring I know..  Anyways onto the make up look!
I started with a just putting a foundation on(Revlon nearly naked) and then moved straight onto eye brows! I filled them in with a black eye shadow (Urban decay naked basics). I used a angled liner brush and made them big and pointed to make them a little dramatic! Yes I'm looking a little crazy in this photo but it does start to come together, I promise haha
After that I just went in with a stippling brush using the same black eye shadow and also a brown (urban decay naked basics) mixing them together and creating a really thick and heavy contour. I blended it a little but thought it looked more dramatic the bigger and thicker it was!
I also carried this a little onto my temple, jaw line and a little down my neck! I then moved onto the eyes, I just placed Macs star violet all over my eye, underneath and then just blended it out. To add a little more affect I placed Macs patina in the centre for a little more dramatic look. After that I just went in with my normal black flick liner making it thick and a little more dramatic then normal.
Then to make it a little more 'vampire' kind of looking I added the veins under the eyes and on my four head with Macs eyeshadow Shale which is just a purple. I used another angled linger brush and just make little lines and dashes all over and bring them down!
Now of course I had to add a dramatic lipstick! This one is by Arcncil Paris in the shade 380 prune diva! This lipstick is a lush raspberry colour that has a metallic look about it and it matched perfectly with the eye shadow!
This is my finished look! I just curled my hair a little giving it a little texture and I also carried more black liner underneath the eye!

Hope you enjoyed this little look

Outfit: fringing and coated Jeans

Just enough little outfit post showing some of the new times I've hauled recently! I'm in love with this little outfit, these coated Joni Jeans are great, there so comfy but look great on and also make it look like you've put more effort into a outfit? I don't even know how haha

This bottle green fringe top is lush, again really comfy but looks a little more put together! The white heeled boots add a little height (which is always needed) and makes the outfit a little less dark. Of course I added a autumn lip classic with Rimmel kate moss lipstick in 107!

Hope you enjoyed this little post

Mini Topshop Haul!

Again its been a couple of days since I've last posted! Its been a little crazy but not to worry I'll be getting organised with some posts!! I did make a little trip into Topshop yesterday before starting work and as normally I didn't leave empty handed...

Now I did resist and only picked up three things (Wasn't a big resist but there was a big debate in the changing rooms what to get and what not to, I sure could have left with a lot more haha)

The first thing I bought were this amazing coated black Joni Jeans! They have this matte almost leather look to them but are so comfortable like a normal pair of Joni Jeans! I love the edgy  look of these and they fit like a dream!

I'm in love with this bottle green fringe scalloped tee! You may have seen in other blog posts, me talking about the Topshop basic scalloped tees which I love. This one is a little different, the material is so soft and thicker then the others. Of course the fringing on the bottom is the icing on the cake which just adds extra cute-ness! I normally don't really like fringe and it doesn't look like much on the photo but on it looks amazing.

Lastly I just got this oversize pocket tee that has this metallic affect on it. I love the metallic trend but I do sometimes think its a little harder to wear day to day so I loved this top as its casual and easy to wear. It just a great big tee that has a little something extra and different about it.

So I hoped you guys enjoyed this little haul and you will be seeing these ideas in future outfit posts, I'm sure!

Outfit: Boiler suit inspired!

Topshop dress; Topshop Hat; Warehouse Jacket; Topshop socks and boots

I've just realised its been two days without posting, just been a little crazy with college but here's just enough little outfit post! My pictures are all different sizes but we'll just ignore that part for now hahah I love this little dress from Topshop, didn't take a genius to work out where it is from! hahah it reminds me of the boiler suit In the material and the simple navy blue design of it. I loved the boiler suit when it came into fashion not so long ago but wouldn't know when I could wear it where I lived so I never bought one!

When I saw this little dress though I just had to have it because it was so similar! I will admit it is a little short so sometimes I wear shorts underneath but with tights and my warehouse denim jacket It works fine. I paired another one of the bowler hats from Topshop with this outfit but this one is a lush grey colour which just adds another neutral colour to the outfit.

lastly to finish off I added these little frilly socks with checks all over which you cant really see but their there and then of course my cut out lace up Topshop boots!

Hope you enjoyed this little post

New sale boots!

So at the moment a lot of the shops are having or had big sales! Now being a student I couldn't really afford anything so I avoided most of them but I couldn't keep anyway from Topshop even though I knew my bank account probably wouldn't have benefited from that haha

There wasn't actually that much I liked or wanted, It was all of the summer stuff which I knew I wouldn't wear but then I stumbled upon this beauties...

Now of course I made the mistake of trying them on, which made me fall in love, as normal! I'm such a sucker for white shoes especially boots and these are just lush!

These are a little higher then I would normally wear for a boot on a day to day bases but I'm so in love I shall be wearing them anyways! The cut out detailing looks really edgy and cute and also because of the sole they are really comfortable and easy to walk in!

They were on sale for £25 and with the student discount on top they were a bit of a barging since they
were originally £45! I couldn't say no to that now, could I? hahah

Have you found anything great in the sales? Hope you enjoyed

Outfit: Them unloved Jeans

So recently I did a little blog post about some DIY ripped Jeans and I was exited to wear them and style them so I thought I'd show you a little post on one a outfit with them.

Zara Shirt; Topshop DIY black Jeans; Primark Boots; Forever 21 Leather Jacket; Denim warehouse;
Mac Rebel Lipstick.

So these jeans are great.. I didn't add any more rips to them but I still really like the way they look. I just paired them with a pair of little black booties. I then just wore this dogstooth blouse from Zara and then I just wrapped and put a knot in the front.

I couldn't decide whether I liked my leather or denim jacket more so I thought I'd put both in.. I'm thinking the leather looks better and more edgy but I do like the 'denim on denim' look.

Hope you enjoyed

Review Love:Liquid liner!

Now liquid liner scares the living day lights out of me! Who really knows that's going to happen when you put it on and if it wants to actually work and look right! I do have a thing for cat flicks and the one liquid eyeliner that I've always wanted to try is the Collection Fast stroke eyeliner.

I see a lot of people using it, including my best friend and she always looks amazing with it one! The application of it scares me though as it kind of looks like a pen or something fancy that isn't like a felt tip which is what I normally use! I was browsing around Superdrug the other day, was feeling adventurous so decided to buy and try!

I will admit the first time I used it I was thinking 'ooo fudge' because it didn't exactly go to plan and one cat flick was much different from the other but after a little getting used to and persevering I'm now In love! I feel like I write that I pretty much all of my blog posts but this one is a fact! I love the blackness of this eyeliner compared to others I have used and when finished it doesn't budge of my eyes and still looks pretty flawless at the end of the day (Well you know as flawless as its going to get).

I will be hooked on this one for a long time now and they also do a brown one which I may have to go try out as well which I'm feeling a look that's a little softer!
Hope you enjoyed

The one lovely blog award!

Hey guys! So I'm very exited to be writing this little post because I've been recently nominated for the 'One Lovely Blog Award' which I'm still in very much shock over. I admit I did have to re-read the comment Lauren from LittleLo16 left saying she had nominated me a few times (also got my mum to double check it as well haha). I'm hooked on reading Laurens blog so was very exited to see the nomination was from her as well and well thank you very much!

So anyways here are the rules:
1. You must thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
2. You must list the rules and display the award.
3. You must add 7 facts about yourself(I will have to have a hard think about that one)
4.You must nominate 15 other bloggers and comment on one of their posts to let them know they have been nominated.
5.You must display the award logo and follow the blogger who nominated you.

So the 'interesting' facts about me:
1.I have lived in a few different places around the world like Germany and Cyprus and travelled a lot but cant seem to speak any other languages.

2. I have two little dogs(Maddie&Alfie) and at the end of next month there will be a new puppy in the household called lily(I think) which I'm sure you'll see on my blog soon enough (I'm very exited!)

3. When I was growing up for a good year or so I wanted to be a magician although I never had done magic before or ever planned on try to I still managed to want to be a magician for a long time!

4. I am now currently studying health and social care at college from wanting to be a children's nurse to a teacher and now I want to go to university and study fashion communication? how different can you get on the career front! haha

5.I have a little tiny obsession with tea... The amount I drink is a little crazy and if you went into my cupboard in the kitchen to where all of the tea is kept its shocking all the different kinds and flavours I have! (I am currently drinking one right now)

6. Fashion I've always been into but I only started to really wear make up last summer so a lot of people are rather shocked at my love for it now and that I am writing about it on my blog!

7. Autumn/winter is my favourite time of year! I love the rain, the cold, the clothes, the make up, staying all lovely in bed, reading books drinking tea by the fire and just everything that comes with autumn and winter (CHRISTMAS) I just love!!

So some of my nominations are (This was kind of tricky actually)-

Half way to New York
A Fashion tale
Tea with Sophie
Melody Munn
Dreaming in beauty
Bcosmetics
Kimberly Loveless

Hope you enjoyed this little post (Learning some very random facts about me)

Lost without reading

So this time a couple of years ago I was the biggest book worm going but as the years have passed reading has become less and less on my list of priorities. Over the summer when I had a little extra time on my hands without the work load of college I got a lot of time to read and now I'm back at college I seem to have fallen into the routine again of not.. Why? I have no idea but I seem to be frustrating myself by not!

I was never a book person growing up, well not reading myself, it was always my mum reading me stories and I used to struggle a lot in school with my English skills but then when I found my love for books everything changed and all I wanted to do was get lost in a book that made me forget everything around me.
I've made it my mission at the moment to read more and here are some of my ways I'm going to do this:

A oldie but goodie: I think reading your old favourite books is great! yes reading books you've never read before is great as well but when you don't always have the time to read then swapping in and out of a book is hard and sometimes I can get a little lost, so re-reading all my old favourites (The great Gatsby, Peter pan, the fault in our stars and ANY Jodi picoult) is the best way. I know I love the book already and it means you can pick up from where you left off easily!

Before bed: Finding the actual time to read is my problem as I seem to just do course work all the time and if not I'm being distracted by my addicted to the blogging world and watching youtube videos! So I've now resulted in reading before I go to bed very night. I know that is something A lot of people do but once my laptop is off then it seems to only take me a couple of seconds to fall asleep but I've made it my mission to read just before I turn the lights out (even If that is only for ten minutes or I only manage to read a page).

Taking my read with me: Now I travel into my nearest city often by train and don't get my wrong the Journey may only be 20 minutes but them 20 minutes are perfect time to get out a good book so I don't know why I've never done it before. Sometimes its not possible as the trains get so busy and getting a seat is impossible but If I know the train Isn't getting to be so busy or I know I'll be able to get a seat then I've been taking a book with me for the Journey.

I'm hoping I actually stick to this and college doesn't get in the way to much but as long as my glasses are beside me, a good book is on hand and perhaps a nice cup of tea in my favourite mug then It wont be long before I'm lost in a book again.

DIY: unloved skinny Jeans

So lately I have had a little love affair with ripped skinny jeans, I love the look and style of them and the added edge they give to my outfits. As I was going through some draws the other day I found a very un-loved pair of black skinny jeans. I don't know why I don't really wear them anymore but I thought I would rip them my self and show you guys!
So all I used was a pair of scissors, a pencil, a pair of tweezers and of course the jeans I was ripping. These black skinny's I've had for a while now and they've faded in colour which I actually really like!
I put the jeans on to make sure I got the holes and rips that I wanted in the right place and just pencilled a little line and put a small hole at the lines on both knees.
I then took them off and cut all the way along from where I had put the small hole on the knees which ended them looking a little like this...
And then I just ripped them with my hands making them a little more messy and distressed. I then also went in with a pair of tweezes and just pulled on the material to again make them more ripped and distressed.
After that, once I was happy with the rips on the knees, I just went back again and did the same thing but with smaller rips in different places on the jeans which resulted them looking like this...
I'm actually really happy with the way they turned out although I may add a few more distressed bits and rips on them! These will no longer be my unloved jeans though and it didn't cost me a penny, Wooo!

Outfit: Spots!

Spotty Dress; Bowler Hat; Topshop Boots;Warehouse Denim Jacket

So I saw this little swing dress a couple of weeks ago in Topshop and I really liked! I don't have anything in my wardrobe that's spotty but I wasn't fully sure about this dress because of it being a swing style as I don't normally like them styles on myself as there not as flattering as a skater dress.

This swing dress though is kind of perfect! It has the affect of a swing dress on the bottom half but has a band around the waist that just goes in at the right place to make it that little bit more flattering! The material is great.. easy to wear but still a little more dressy!

I decided to pair it with my little black bowler hat which is one of my favourite accessories to wear and my warehouse denim jacket which I pretty much wear all of the time! I added a little pop of colour with the glitter blue socks and then my black lace up boots with the side cut-outs from Topshop!
I wore this to a university open day the other week and it was great as the dress was smart but the denim jacket gave it a more casual look and feel!

Living in the country

So I was thinking what could I do today for a little blog post that was a little different (not fashion or beauty related) and I was walking my two little dogs today and I took a few photos and of course it was raining. Now when wearing wellies and there being puddles around I of course decided to go splashing through them like a little kid again (don't worry no one was around).

When I'm not feeling great for whatever reason living in the country is literally amazing because I can just go for a walk with the dogs, put my headphones in and clear my head.  I only moved into the country side at the beginning of the year but I suppose to many of you I still technically lived in the country before then since it was a ten minute walk to a field where no one would be around.
I do suffer from anxiety, don't get my wrong I'm not as bad as I used to be and I am kind of good at hiding it (which I know isn't really a good thing) but I do think living in the country has definitely helped me to just allow my self to breath a little at the end of each day.

I've had the odd person say to me from college or something 'how do you live in the country side? not being in the town near all the shops and your friends?' but I hated living in the city and it naturally makes me feel more anxious even though I don't really have anything to be afraid of. I know a lot of people that suffer from anxiety have there own little things and places that make them feel a little calmer, I think apart from the seaside the country is the place for me! Them train journeys home at the end of a long day are my kind of heaven!

I'm rambling now but I'll probably have something a little more exiting to talk or share about tomorrow,

My make up bag!

Thought I'd give a little insider into my make up bag! I used to switch up my make up on a daily basis but lately I've got into a routine of the make up I like and the products I love so here's a little run down..

Chanel Perfection Lumiere velvet(22 Beige rose): I admit this foundation is expensive but It is honestly the best foundation I've ever used! I have oily/combinational skin and this just adds a slight matte look to my skin but also gives a lovely natural glow? I don't even know how that's possible but hey I love it!

Benefit Porefessional Primer: So this little guy is just a sample but I've been using it everyday and it has lasted really well! it does what the name says, just minimises my pores!

Rimmel London stay matte powder(Transparent): A translucent/transparent powder in my make up bag is a must just to keep that shine away for the day and making sure my make up actually stays on my face!

Soap and glory solar powder: I never been a big bronzer kind of person but lately I've just be using the littler side of this bronzer and sweeping it all over my face just to add a little bit of warmth to my completion and stopping me looking like a ghost.

Maybelline Eye eraser(light): This concealer is great to just hide that I maybe haven't had as much sleep as I should have(Or would have liked) the night before under the eyes.

Benefit boi-ing concealers: I prefer a concealer that is more of a cream product rather then a liquid one. I think they just stay on for longer and this one by benefit is great!

Benefit Gimme brow(light): I'm pretty lazy when it comes to my brows so the benefit gimme brow is just a must! Its so easy adding colour and keeping them in place all day and literally takes a couple of seconds!

Maybelline the rocket volume mascara & L'Oreal miss manga: I've been using both of these mascaras lately and I really like the combination! they leave my lashes with loads of volume and length which is just a win win in my eyes.

Soap and glory Supercat eyeliner: So like the name suggests this eyeliner is just the best for doing cat flicks which at the moment is just my standard look and I love it! The pen/felt liner is just so easy to use and if I can master it then anyone can using this!

Bobbi brown gel eyeliner in sepia ink: The Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners are great and If I've not feeling the cat flicks then I normally wear this one which is a really dark chocolate brown and It just adds a nice bit of definition to the eye!

Urban decay Naked basics: I have to admit I've not a big Eyeshadow person anymore but If I ever do wear them unless its something with a bit of simmer then I do wear the naked basics! The matte shades are just the best and you can create some really nice soft looks with it.

Lush popcorn lip scrub: For what it is the lush lip scrubs are expensive but there pretty great and leave my lips feeling brand new. I've been wearing a lot of matte lipsticks recently so this has been great to use before hand.

Nivea lip butter blueberry blush: The Nivea lip butters are great for being so moistening and just feeling amazing! This one smells exactly like blueberry muffins.. makes me want to eat it, I wont lie haha.

Kiko glow touch lip&cheek intuition peach and Benefit Majorette blush: I've also been switching between these to blushers at the moment. There both great flushes of colour adding a little warmth to my cheeks and also a little glow!

Last but not least Mac lipstick in peach blossom: This lipstick is my all time favourite lipstick its just the perfect pink nude(your lips but better kind of colour). It never fails to look good so its forever in my make up bag!

Hope you enjoyed a inside into my make up bag
